What a Terminally Ill Villain Needs Is an Arctic Fox

Description

In the death-bound north, I met a white fox.

Sunwoo Jin, who transmigrated into the villain Kail, survives through three years of hardship, only to become terminally ill after taking on a curse meant for his half-brother—the emperor.

Appointed as Duke of the North and headed there to quietly die, Kail encounters a soft, warm, snowball-like arctic fox.

The fox’s fluffy tail brushed gently against Kail’s arm.

Startled by the soft sensation, he looked at the fox, who let out a soft whimper, eyes narrowing like it was smiling.

Kail soon realized the brush of the tail wasn’t just a coincidence.

When he was with the fox, the pain from the curse disappeared.

His frozen heart began to beat again.

For the first time in so long, Kail felt joy so intense it brought him to tears—he wanted to live.

“Being with you makes me not want to die. I’m so happy.”

Then the fox in his arms stood up.

Its shadow suddenly transformed into that of a man.

With long, slender fingers, the man gently stroked Kail’s cheek and said:

“Why are you thinking of dying, when you have me, Kail?”
